Retailer Discounts
RAFMA members get exclusive access to a number of mountaineering retailer discounts to facilitate their mountaineering and climbing adventures. This ranges from near-trade prices to 10-30% of popular retailers.

Monthly Meets
RAFMA members are able to attend monthly 'meets' across the UK. This includes highly subsidised accommodation, civilian and military instructors, the opportunity for meet other members to develop their logbooks 'operating as equals'. For serving personnel, RAFMA meets are eligible for MT and certain expenses.
Worldwide Expeditions
RAFMA has been delivering worldwide expeditions for its members since its inception. Approximately every four years, RAFMA plans, organises and delivers a major expedition to greater ranges, with smaller expeditions to the Alps and other mountainous and climbing regions.
Sports Lottery Funding
via the RAF Central Fund
As part of the RAF Sports Federation, RAFMA members are eligible to apply for individual and group Sports Lottery funding to assist with the costs of mountaineering, such as kit, specialist equipment, competition or event entrance fees, and training. Group funding can also be applied for to support expeditions, UK and overseas visits and sport climbing tours.
RAF Climbing Team training and competitions
RAFMA members are eligible for opportunities to compete or just have a go at RAF Climbing Team training and events across the RAF and Armed Forces. With opportunities to develop for all levels, the experience can take you to competing at Service, Tri-Service and International levels.
Prioritisation on JSAT
RAFMA members requiring JSAT qualifications to support or deliver expedition or meet activity can request prioritisation through the RAFMA training lead.
