RAFMA November Meet (Incorporating General Meeting, Curry Evening and Annual Dinner)

RAFMA General Meeting and Annual Dinner Weekend. This year we have a slight format change, with a General Meeting being held on the Friday evening. Accommodation for RAFMA members only is available at Ambleside Hostel. Private accommodation at personal expense in the Lindeth Howe Hotel - https://www.lindeth-howe.co.uk (mention RAFMA for a discounted rate) or in any of the other B&Bs / hotels in the local area.

This year we welcome one of Scotland's most remarkable young climbers, Greg Boswell, to join us as our guest speaker at the Annual Dinner.

You never know what’s going to happen on a climbing trip. Sometime you succeed on big alpine new routes, sometimes you fail and leave with your tail slumped between your legs, but every now and again mother nature throws a massive curve ball at you and you find yourself lying on your back in deep powder snow with a huge grizzly bear just centimetres from you face! This is the story of how professional climber, Greg Boswell’s trip to the Canadian Rockies went from succeeding on world class ice routes, to surviving his most life changing event to date!
