About the Event
RAFMA's ski touring / ski mountaineering expedition for 2026 is now open for applicants. This year the plan is to head to Kyrgyzstan and the Tian Shan mountain range for off the beaten track, truly adventurous winter exploration.
📍 Where: Kyrgyzstan’s (or possibly Kazakhstan's) Tian Shan range – remote peaks, vast snowfields, and breath-taking alpine scenery
📅 When: Exact dates TBD, but expect 10 or so days in early March.
🎿 What to Expect:
Challenging ski tours across pristine, untracked terrain. No lifts, no pistes and 800-1000m of ascent each day.
Nights spent in a combination of mountain huts, yurts, and basecamps under star-filled skies
